My Story
Hello! My name is Kiko Salazar.
I set goals so big that I can't achieve them until I grow into the person who can. I aim to do this constantly in all areas of my life, from personal to professional. The first time I set a goal of this type was when I was four years old: my mission was to help others attain optimal health and vitality. First, I wanted to be a veterinarian. Then, I wanted to be a doctor. As I became older, I realized the gruesome realities many healthcare providers heroically faced, and determined I was not suited for their work. So instead, I discovered my value in helping practices get their value discovered. I didn't figure this out right away, though.
Throughout college, I became involved with numerous startups in a range of industries including renewable energy, cannabis, real estate, luxury products and entertainment, and wellness. I connected immediately with the ambition and boundless energy of the entrepreneurs and business owners I met. The opportunity to wear different hats excited me, and the constant learning experience was everything I craved. I found myself working closely with founders and C-level executives, who I assisted in all of their efforts. My responsibilities included market research, brand development, composing contracts and pitch decks, website creation, and talent scouting. Upon graduating from the University of San Diego, I attempted creating my own startup specializing in cannabis-infused topicals. I wanted to heal the world through plant medicine. There came a point when I could no longer financially support my efforts, so I pursued my labor of love in digital marketing (in the healthcare industry).
Being as I had been creating websites since primary school, I found my nerdy tech side right at home in the world of digital marketing. I love what I do because it enables me to empower healthcare providers with state-of-the-art solutions that help grow and streamline their practices. I find it meaningful to help practitioners impart their value, and engage with their patients in ways they otherwise couldn't (i.e. due to their busy schedules, perhaps lack of marketing expertise, etc.). It’s even more meaningful to me to help a patient get the contact lenses they need to see, the bodywork they need to live comfortably, or the dental implant that will make their smile whole. I have a whole-hearted belief in my work, and pride myself on being a human of value to the doctor, practice, and patient who wants clarity. My mission is to provide a better quality of life for both the practitioner and the patient— a goal I set when I was four years old, and have grown to pursue.
